AN ORDINANCE WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING ARKANSAS CRIME INFORMA TION
COMMUNICA TION (ACICJ HARD4'ARE AND SOl- I WARE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is in need of updated ACIC hardware and
software, including workstations, Jro Jrietary software systems, and the necessar.y equi Jmenat
materials, and installation of such to enhance and better Jrovide for the Jublic safety an
welfare of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville; and,

provide said equipment and materia s necessary at a fair and reasona J e rate. ACIC las
agreed to ]rovide tle hardware, software, equipment, insta ation, materials, and maintenance

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:

SECTION TWO: Pursuant to ACA ~ 14-58-383, comRetitive bidding is hereby waived
for the purpose of purchase and installation of new ACle hardware software, equi Jment and
materials for the Jacksonville Police De Jartment. Authorization is _lereby given to the Mayor
anc lor his designated re Jresentative to execute the necessary Jurchase agreements with
AC C Litt e Roc <, Ar <ansas, for t 1e purc lase of t 1e lardware, software, ana equi Jment to
inc ude a Gateway 2000 computer system and 0 <idata Printer, together wit 1 t 1e necessary
equipment, insta lation, and a maintenance and service agreement for twenty-four (24) hours
a da~ seven (7) days a week as designated on the attacned Description Sheet at t le rate of
One Thousand FifW Dollars ($1,050.00) each mont 1 for t lirty-six (36) mont lS, p us app icab e
tax, to be paid for By monies held in the Equipment Fund.
