ORDINANCE NO. 1095 (#5-98)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND USE MAP OF THE CII " OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Planning Commission hosted a public hearing
regarding needed review and recommendations for amendment to tle Land Use
Map of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Planning Commission recommends that the City
Council amend tle Land Use Map to al ow for a commercial zoning classification on
the real property described herein (Genera Location: LRAFB Air Park Museum
propel ly along Vandenburg Blvd.); and,
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville City Council believes it is in the best interest of
all citizens to modify the Land Use Map in accordance with the recommendations
of the Jacksonville Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE J I ORDAINED BY THE cr I "COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T:
SECTION ONE: Tle Land Use Map of tle City of Jacksonville is hereby
modified so as to provic e for a commercial zoning classification for the following
described property:
[Please see attached Legal Description - General Location: LRAFB Air Park
Museum property along Vandenburg Blvd.]
SECTION TWO: If this Ordinance or any portion t lereof are declared
void or unconstitutional for any reason, it shall not affect the remaining portions of
this Ordinance not declared unconstitutional.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
SECTION FOUR: It is hereby ascertained and declared that this Ordinance
is necessary for immediate imp ementation of greater efficiency in governmental
operations. Therefore, an emergency is here JY declared, and this Ordinance shall
take effect immediately u.Jon ,Jassage and publication, as provided by and subject
to requirements of app'icab'e law~
