0701RESOLUTION NO, 701 (#10 - 2013)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
ENTER INTO A JOINT COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Pulaski County, Arkansas, have
determined that improvements to the West Main and Harris Road intersection, upon
which a roundabout is to be constructed, should be done as a joint venture between the
Two (2) government entities to maximize available funds and increase improvements to
the intersection and traffic flow for the area; and,
WHEREAS, to insure construction of such a Project in such a manner, the City
should enter into a Joint Cooperative Agreement with the County, as authorized under
ACA § 25-20-101 et. seq., to obtain a contribution from Pulaski County, Arkansas, of Two
Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) for the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVED5YTHE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE; The Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a Joint
Cooperative Agreement on behalf of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to obtain a
contribution of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) from Pulaski County,
Arkansas, for the West Main and Harris Road Intersection Improvements Project.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
