AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING STRUCTURES AND REAL PROPERI )' AT
VARIOUS UNINHABITED LOCA TIONS LISTED BELOW IN JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, FOR STRUCTURAL DEFECT.~ DEFICIENCIES, AND PUBLIC
HAZARD CONDITIONS; AND, FOR OTHEK PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the uninhabited structures and real property at the following
street addresses, all located within tle City limits of Jacksonvi e and owned by the
various parties as stated below, constitute a health and safety hazard to the general
Jublic due to t le ac < of structural sounc ness and di aQidated conditions which exist

failed to repair their respective properties, structures, and/or remove the
deteriorated elements so as to e iminate public lea th and safety hazards and bring
the property and its improvements into compliance with the provisions of the
Jacksonville Municipal Code.

CII y OF JACKSONVILLI:, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: In accordance witl ACA 914-56-201 eta al. and
Jacksonville Municipal Code 98.28.010 eta seq., the above mentioned structures and
real properties listed above and located at tleproperty addresses stated above are
hereby declared to each constitute a separate nuisance to the health and safety of
the citizens of Jacksonville and are hereby condemned.
The City Council hereby directs the Code Enforcement Office to provide
notice to the pro Jerty owners and all other interested parties (mortgagors -if
app ica Jle -) t lat, If said structures and real property are not repaired ana/or ttie
lea th and safety hazards removed from said Jro Jerty so as to bring the propertY
into compliance witl tle provisions of Jac<sonvllle V1unlcipa Code witlin ninety (90)
days from the date of passage of this Ordinance, the structures and improvements
on said real property cited above will be cleared and razed. All structures and
nuisances shall be removed so as to eliminate any health or safety hazards to the
general public, and the cost for doing so shall be assessed against the owner(s) of
said propertyn
SEL lION I \NO: If the City of Jacksonvil e is required to undertake and/or
complete the necessaf\/ removal of hazardous conditions from the real properties
in question, the City wil then fi e a lien against tle respective real property involved
for collection of all reasonable costs incurred to undertake and complete the
removal of said hazardous conditions on that property and authorize Citv officials
to request said amounts be collected by the Puraskl County Tax Collector s_lould the
owners fail to timely pay said fees and amounts due.

SECTION THREE: Should any Rart(s) of this Ordinance be declared invalid
for any reason, no other partes) of the Ordinance shall be affected thereby.

SECTION FIVE: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage and publication, as provided by and subject to the requirements of
