AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS
(GENERAL LOCA TION: PROPERTY LOCA TED A T THE REAR OF 723 SCHOOL DRIVE,
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS); AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 213 AND 238 AND THE
LAND USE MAP OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;
AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVillE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: The zone classification of the following property be and hereby is changed
as indicated below:
Property Description:
A tract of land in the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4)
of fractional Section 30, Township 3 North, Range 10 West, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the NE corner of the NW 1/4, NW 1/4, SE 1/4 of fractional Section 30,
Townsflip 3 North, Range 10 West; thence South Twenty-six (26) degrees, one (1)
minute, Fifty (50) seconas West, 118.97 feet to a cotton picker spindle in the South
edge of pavement of School Drive; thence South 21 degrees 53 minutes West, 204.0
feet to an iron pin, the point of beginning of the tract of rand herein described; thence
continuing South 21 degrees, 53 minutes West, 1068.08 feet to an axle on the
westerly nght-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad (100 foot r/w); thence North
32 degrees 10 minutes 40 seconds East, along said railroad right-af-way line 1129.43
feet to an axle, said axle being 105 feet, more or less, southwest along said railroad
right-ot-way line from the southerly right-of-way line of State Hwy. No .161; thence
North 80 degrees II minutes 20 seconds West, 206.4 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 2.474 acres, more or less.
The above described proRerty is hereby rezoned from R-4 to C-4. (General Location: Property
located at the rear of 723 School Drive, Jacksonville, Arkansas).
SECTION TWO: The map referred to in Section No. 601 of Ordinance No. 213 of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No. 238, and designated as the official zoning map
and Land Use Map, should be and hereby is amended to the extent and in the respects necessary
to effect and designate the changes provided for in Section One hereof.
SECTION THREE: Because the implementation of these changes is necessary for improved
public peace and safety of the citizens of Jacksonville, an emergency is hereby declared. This
Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage and publication, as provided by and subject
to the requirements of applicable law.
SECTION FOUR: All Ordi~ances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are h~,f,e'gy,:"'
