A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT FOR THE SALE OF A PORTION OF THE 80 ACRE GRAHAM ROAD
LANDFILL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is the owner of the follow-
ing described property located in Lonoke County, Arkansas:
The Wz of the NW; of Section 27, Township 3
North, Range 10 West, Lonoke County, Arkansas.
AND, WHEREAS, ITAPCO- Little Rock, Inc. has submitted a pro -
_
posal to purchase 8.8 acres and obtain a roadway and pipeline ease-
ment over 0.52 acres, with the legal description of the land to be
purchased as follows:
From the NW corner of Section 27, thence 25'
east, thence 450' south to the point of begin-
ning; thence 500' east to the west barrow ditch
of the existing roadway; thence along the
barrow ditch curving to the southeast to the
northwest right -of -way boundary of Texas Eastern
Pipeline; thence southwesterly 410' along the
right -of -way boundary; thence 450' west to the
future city drain ditch boundary; thence 675'
north along the drain ditch boundary to the point
of beginning; containing 8.8 acres more or less.
AND, WHEREAS, the City has no actual need for said property
and is authorized to sell same pursuant to Ark. Stat. Ann.
§19 -2310.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. We hereby authorize the sale of the 8.8 acres of land des -
cribed above to ITAPCO-Little Rock, Inc. for the purchase price of
$
2. We hereby authorize the granting of a roadway and pipeline
easement over 0.52 acres of the above described 80 acre tract to
ITAPCO - Little Rock, Inc. for the sum of $
3. We hereby authorize the Mayor and City Clerk of Jacksonville
to enter into a contract for the sale of the land and the granting of
the easement and to sign any and all documents on behalf of the City
necessary to convey said property and easement.
4. We hereby direct that all closing costs shall he paid by the
proposed purchaser, ITAPCO - Little Rock, Inc.
