0353 RESOLUTION NO. 353 ( #18 -85)
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JACK-
SONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CITY BRIDGE LOAD
POSTING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville understands Federal -Aid
Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation funds are available for
posting structures that are restricted by weight; and
WHEREAS, it is understood that such bridge posting is
mandated by Federal regulations to insure public safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Jacksonville will participate in
accordance with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to
properly erect the signs at bridges eligible for participation
under this program.
SECTION 3. The City of Jacksonville pledges its full support
and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
Department to initiate action to implement this program.
THIS RESOLUTION adopted this 15th day of Augu ,1985.
