A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING FULL SUPPORT OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS TO THE JACKSONVILLE HIGH
SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL AND ANY OTHER PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATION
IN THEIR EFFORTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE CITIZENS OF ETHOPHIA.
WHEREAS, the hunger and the plight of the citizens of Ethopia
has drawn world wide attention in recent months and has become an
important issue to every concerned citizen; and
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville High School Student Council and
other participating organizations are having a fund - raising drive
to aid the citizens of Ethopia; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas wishes to extend its full support to the Jacksonville
High School Student Council and any other participating organization;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Jacksonville
give its full support to the Jacksonville High School Student Council
and any other participating organization and joins them in their
efforts to raise funds for the citizens of Ethopia.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Jacksonville
will cooperate in any way to aid the Student Council and other par-
ticipating organizations in their fund raising efforts.
