RESOLUTION NO. 3 . 3 5 ($22 - 84)
RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 328 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, WHICH CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT
ENDORSEMENT OF BUSINESS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE
ZONE PROGRAM.
RESOLUTION NO. 328 should be and hereby is amended to read
as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has an approved Zone
designation for Census Tract 36.04 within the corporate limits
of the City of Jacksonville; and
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business pr
enterprise to participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
Program and benefit from the exemptions as provided in Part
IV of the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of 1983;
and
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form
available from AIDC; and
WHEREAS, CONESTOGA WOOD SPECIALTIES, INC. have been deter-
mined by the management of the enterprise zone appropriate
applicants; and
WHEREAS, CONESTOGA WOOD SPECIALTIES, INC. have agreed to
furnish the management of the enterprise zone all necessary
information for compliance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1. That CONESTOGA WOOD SPECIALTIES, INC. be endorsed
by the City of Jacksonville for benefit from the exemptions
as provided in Part IV of the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program
Regulations of 1983.
2. That the Mayor be authorized to sign the Certificate
of Local Government Endorsement.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
