RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING IN REGARD TO THE REQUEST TO
CLOSE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF FRONT STREET BETWEEN CHESTNUT
AND SPRING STREETS IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, has recommended closing that portion of
Front Street between Chestnut and Spring Streets, between Blocks
4 and 5, Town of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, Gary Schisler, representing himself to be the
owner of the property abutting the said Front Street between
Chestnut and Spring Streets, has filed a Petition with the
City requesting that portion of Front Street as mentioned herein
be vacated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville
shall cause to be published in the Jacksonville Daily News, a
public notice that a public hearing will be heard on the request
to close and abandon that portion of Front Street between Chest-
nut and Spring Streets, in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, said hearing to be held on Thursday, December
6, 1984, at 8:00 p.m., and to see that said notice is published
once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks.

4 SECTION 2: That this Resolution is necessary for the
114 proper growth of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
