RESOLUTION NO. 3 1 2 ( - 83)
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE ARKANSAS COMMUNITY AND
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THROUGH THE ARKANSAS
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO CERTIFY CONTENTS OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is applying to the State of Arkansas
for an Arkansas Community Development grant, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the
application requirements.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has conducted at least one public
hearing as part of the application process to receive and consider citizen
comments on community needs and proposed activities.
THEREFORE, be it resolved,
1. That James G. Reid, the Mayor, is authorized to submit this
application to the State of Arkansas on behalf of the City
of Jacksonville, to undertake property rehabilitation, water
and sewer improvments, street improvements and drainage
improvements in a designated area, if funded.
2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
