RESOLUTION NO. 300 -82
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS REVISING THIRD YEAR SMALL CITIES PRO-
GRAM B- 82 -DH -05 -0003
WHEREAS the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas is carrying out
a variety of community development activities under the auspices
of a Multi -year Comprehensive Small Cities Program approved by
the Department of Housing and Urban Development Act of 1977 and
as authorized by the City Council's adoption of Resolution No.
297 -82 on June 3, 1982; and
WHEREAS the City's application for funding for the Third
Year for Project No. B- 82 -DH -05 -0003 has been approved in the
amount of $612,000 and the City's Third Year Program commenced
on or about July 19, 1982; and
WHEREAS the City of Jacksonville is desirous of revising
the Third Year Program to change selected project activities
previously approved and to reallocate funds to other eligible
project activities already in the Third Year and Multi -Year
Program; and
WHEREAS the City has conducted the required public hearings
to discuss the changes and to seek Citizen input regarding the
proposed changes, all in accordance with the City's written
Citizen Participation Plan;
WHEREAS the Department of Housing & Urban Development has
been notified of the proposed changes and raised no objections;
and
WHEREAS said changes were reviewed at this meeting of the
City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Senior Citizens Center be Located on Victory
Circle on the site of the Grayco Theater and Sunnyside Hills
Shopping Center, indicated on the attached map as Site "B ".
2. That the Third Year funds of $612,000 be reallocated
as follows:

Street Improvements 67,500
Senior Citizens Center 400,000
Program Administration 15,000
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
