0287 RESOLUTION NO. 287 - 81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
REQUESTING THE PULASKI COUNTY SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT TO REINSTATE BUS
SERVICE FOR PUPILS LIVING WITHIN TWO MILES OF THEIR RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS.
WHEREAS, there is a lack of sidewalks or shoulders along the streets
in Pulaski County expecially North Pulaski and Jacksonville; and
WHEREAS, such makes it extremely dangerous for children to walk to
school;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Jacksonville
goes on record requesting the Pulaski County, Special School District to
reinstate bus service for pupils living within two miles of their
respective schools.
AND BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of the Resolution be placed in the
permanent records of the minutes of the City Council of Jacksonville,
Arkansas.
