RESOLUTION NO. 2 6 1 - 8 0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO THE PULASKI AREA
TRANSPORTATION STUDY AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Jacksonville Cit y Council
that there be a continuing, comprehensive, and cooperative
transportation planning process pursuant to Section 134, Chapter
I, Title 23, United State Code - Highways, which is responsive
to the needs of Jacksonville; and
WHEREAS, it is understood that this agreement does not
transfer any constitutional or legislative authority possessed
by the participating agencies;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
Jacksonville authorizes the mayor to enter into the Pulaski
Area Transportation Study Agreement of Understanding.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the Resolution be
placed in the permanent records of the minutes of the City
Council of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
