A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE
TO MATCH FEDERAL AID AND URBAN SYSTEM MONIES FOR THE REDMOND ROAD
EXTENSION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the City of Jac1Conville understands additional Federal -
Aid and Urban System Funds are available for improvements to the city
streets; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority project
is extension of Redmond Road from Highway 161 to Highway 294; and
WHEREAS, the City understands that their matching portion of
this project will be 25% of the total cost;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Jacksonville will participate in
accordance with its designated responsibility in this project.
SECTION 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite
the construction of the improvements on city streets.
SECTION 3: The City of Jacksonville pledges its full support
and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation
Department to initiate action to construct this project.
