RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRE - APPLICATION FOR SMALL CITIES PROGRAM
FUNDING - 1979
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of making application to the
Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant of funds
to carry out a variety of community improvement activities under
the Small Cities Program as authorized by the 1977 Amendments to
the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, on the basis of the evaluation of community develop-
ment needs, it is determined that the City should submit a Pre -
Application for a Multi -Year Comprehensive Program Grant in the
amount of $1,500,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to submit in
behalf of the City a Pre - Application for Small Cities Program Grant
under the Community Development Program on Standard Form 424 to-
gether with related maps, forms and narrative.
2. That the amount of the Pre - Application shall be $1,500,000
under the Multi -Year Comprehensive Program.
3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
