RESOLUTION NO. 2 2 1- 7 8
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT
TO THE LITTLE ROCK DISTRICT, CORPS OF ENGINEERS,
ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AS AFFECTED BY CONSTRUC-
TION AT LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE, JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock District, Corps of Engineers, must
of necessity, obtain an easement from the City of Jacksonville,
upon real property owned by the City, related to construction
required in connection with the Little Rock Air Force Base,
Jacksonville, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City has determined that,
due to the benefits that will inure to the City, it desires to
donate said easement to the Government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS.
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of
Jacksonville, the required Offer to Sell Easement, Donation
Easement Deed, and a Right -of -Entry for Construction on the
following identified tract of land:
TRACT NO. A -123E
LITTLE ROCK AIR FORCE BASE
A strip of right -of -way approximately 1,000 feet in
length and 25 feet in width, situated in the County of
Pulaski, State of Arkansas, being a part of the SWk of the
NWT and a part of the NWT of the SW' of Section 14, Township
3 North, Range 11 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian and
the centerline being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east side of an existing
road, City of Jacksonville Water Treatment Plant and
Reservoir, which is approximately 180 feet east and approx-
imately 1,980 feet north of the southwest corner of the
SW' of said Section 14; thence northerly approximately 1,000
feet to the point of termination and containing 0.57 acre,
more or less.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
