0217 RESOLUTION NO. 217-78
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PRE - APPLICATION FOR
SMALL CITIES PROGRAM FUNDING - 1978.
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of making application to the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for a grant of funds to carry out a variety
of community improvement activities under the Small Cities Program as authorized
by the 1977 Amendments to the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS on the basis of the evaluation of community development needs it is
determined that the City should submit 'a Pre - Application for a Single- Purpose
Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to submit in behalf of
the City a Pre- Application for Small Cities Program Grant under the Community
Developnent Rrdgram on Standard Form 424 together with related maps, forms and
narrative.
2. That the amount of the Pre - Application shall be $291,500.00 under the
Single- Purpose Grant Program.
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
