RESOLUTION NO. 206 — 77
A RESOLUTIOKN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, TO PETITION THE COUNTY COURT TO ANNEX THE PROPERTY ON
WHICH THE EAST WATER PLANT IS LOCATED ON MILITARY ROAD; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the East Water Plant of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas is
located outside the city limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, it is adventageous and beneficial to the protection of said
property that it be located within the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to petition the
County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, for the annexation of the lands upon
which the East Water Treatment Plant are located.
Section 2. This resolution being necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Resolution shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
