RESOLUTION NO. 200 -77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, ADOPTING THE IN -HOUSE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN FOR
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYMENT WITH ADDENDUM NO. ONE, THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN SECTION 3 COMPLIANCE PLAN, AND THE AFFIRMATIVE
ACTION PLAN FOR CONTRACTORS AND BUSINESSES, (ADDENDUM NO. ONE
TO THE SECTION 3 COMPLIANCE PLAN) AS A PART OF THE CITY'S
CONTINUING COMMITMENT TO AFFIRMATIVELY INCREASE AND TO ASSURE
MEANINGFUL COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 3 OF THE HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1968 (12 U.S.C. 170LU)
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, through the
Community Development Block Grant program and the continuing
commitment to affirmatively increase employment opportunity
throughout municipal employment, has ordered the aforementioned
Plans prepared; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Plans are hereby prepared and
presented to the city council of the City Y Y of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, for due consideration; and
WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Jacksonville, Arkansas
desires to adopt said Plans, as prepared, to become a permanent
part of the city's policy;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the In -House Affirmative Action Plan with Addendum No.
One, The Community Development Plan Section 3 Compliance Plan, and
the Affirmative Action Plan for Contractors and Businesses (Addendum
No. One to the Section 3 Compliance Plan), are hereby adopted and
approved for implementation by the mayor, as a part of the city's
continued commitment to affirmatively increase employment
opportunities throughout municipal employment and to assure
meaningful compliance with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban
Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 170LU).
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after this date of passage and approval.
3. Approved and adopted this 7th day of July, 1977.
