RESOLUTION NO. 196 -77
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AND ENTER INTO
CONTRACTS WITH THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT INVOLVING NECESSARY
STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHICH ENTAIL PROJECTS ON THE FEDERAL AID URBAN
SYSTEM AND FOR FUTURE STATE AID STREET IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville,_ Arkansas is
requested by the Arkansas State Highway Department and effective
State legislation involving contracts for street improvements
being accomplished between cities and the State of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
should be authorized to enter into aforementioned and above referenced
contracts for the upgrading and improvement of city streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
I. That the Mayor be, and .hereby is authorized to enter into
and fully execute contracts with the Arkansas State Highway
Department for the upgrading of:city:streets on the Federal Aid
Urban System and for future state aid street: improvements.
2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
