RESOLUTION NO. 194 -77
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO EXECUTE THE LICENSE WITH
THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF INSTALLING A WATER PIPE LINE UNDER TRACKS,
IN BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, is presently
undertaking to make improvements on West Main Street; and,
WHEREAS, the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company has rail-
road tracks crossing West Main Street; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, to enter into an agreement with the Missouri Pacific
Railroad Company in the form of a Pipe Line License for the
purpose of installing an eight inch water pipe line under said
tracks; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, to appropriate $100 to the Missouri Pacific Railroad
Company for said license.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized and fully
empowered to enter into and execute for and in the name of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, one certain written agreement in
the form of a Pipe Line License for the purpose of installing an
eight inch water pipe line under said tracks.
2. Be it further resolved that funds have been appropriated
and are available for the payment of all costs agreed to be paid by
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, under the terms of said agree-
ment.
3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to disperse funds
in the amount of $100 for the aforementioned project from the
grant funds already allocated to the Main Street and Marshall Road
Improvements, EDA No. 08 -51- 00026.
4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
