0193 RESOLUTION NO. 193 -77 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MISSOURI - PACIFIC RAILROAD FOR IMPROVEMENTS OF EXISTING GRADE ROAD CROSSING AT WEST MAIN STREET JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS IN AN AMOUNT OF $13,160., AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is presently undertaking to make improvements on West Main Street, and WHEREAS, Missouri - Pacific Railroad Compnay has railroad tracks crossing West Main Street, and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of Jacksonville to enter into an agreement to reimburse missouri - Pacific Railroad for improvements to the existing grade road crossing at West Main Street in the amount of $13,160. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS: 1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized and fully empowered to enter into and execute for and in the name of the City one certain written agreement dated March 25, 1977 between said City and Missouri- Pacific Railroad Compnay respecting the grant by said Railroad acceptance by the City of permission to make improvements to the existing grade road crossing at West. Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas on said Railroad's premises in said City. 2. Be it further resolved that funds have veen appropriated and are available for the payment of all costs agreed to be paid by theCity under the terms of said agreement. 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to disperse funds in the amount of $13,160. for the aforementioned improvements from the grants funds already allocated to theWest Main Improve- ment Project. 4.
