RESOLUTION NO. 187 -77A
A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION
TO CLOSE AND VACATE A PORTION OF CHURCH STREET, AT THAT AREA OF CHURCH
STREET BETWEEN LOTS 55 AND 56; AND BETWEEN LOTS 55 AND 52, HENRY ESTATE
ADDITION; TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the owners of all lands adjoining that portion of Church
Street as described in the caption hereof have this date filed a
petition for closing and abandoning said portion of Church Street;
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing must be given before any
action can be taken on said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That
Section 1. A public hearing on the petition to close and abandon
that portion of church street between Lots 55 and 56, between Lots 55
and 52, Henry Estates Addition to the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
is hereby set for Thursday, May 19, 1977 at 6:30 p.m.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to give public notice of
said hearing as required by law.
Section 3. This resolution is necessary for the preservation of
public health, safety and welfare and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist.
