RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO TRANSFER A CERTAIN
PARTIAL OF LAND TO CARDER INVESTMENT CORPORATION.

WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is presently the owner of the fol-
lowing described property:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section
24, Township 3 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the Southeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 24; thence North 00 33' West
along the East line thereof a distance of 1043.4 feet to a point
on the existing northwesterly right of way line of U.S. Highway
67; thence South 44 °45' West along said existing right of way line
a distance of 27.9 feet to a point; thence South 46 °43' West
along said existing right of way line a distance of 204.1 feet
to a point; thence South 40 ° 52' West along said existing right
of way line a distance of 319.64 feet to the point of beginning;
thence South 29 °12' West along the proposed easterly right of
way line of said Highway a distance of 277.58 feet to a point;
thence. South 24 °46' West along said proposed right of way
line a distance of 204.54 feet to a point; thence North 36 °44'
West along said proposed right of way line a distance of 105.63
feet to a point on the existing easterly right of way line of
Marshall Road; thence North 06 °35' East along existing right of
way line a distance of 17.15 feet to a point on the existing
northwesterly right of way line of U.S. Highway 67; thence
North 40 °52' East along said existing right of way line a dis-
tance of 431.52 feet to the point of beginning and containing
0.52 acre, more or less.
and
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is desirous of transferring the above
described property to larder Investment Corporation per the previous agreements
reached by Carder Investment Corporation and the Arkansas Highway Department
when the Marshall Road and Main Street Improvement Project was affected; and
WHEREAS, the Arkansas Highway Department cannot legally transfer
title to the above mentioned property directly to Carder Investment Corporation
and therefore has transferred the property to the City of Jacksonville for sub-
sequent transfer to Carder Investment Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVITJ,F,, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute a quitclaim
deed transferring the above described property to Carder Investment Corporation,
for the sum of One Dollar ($1.00).
2. That such transfer is pursuant to a previous agreement between
the Arkansas Highway Department and Carder Investment Corporation when the
Marshall Road and Main Street Improvement Project was effected.
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
