RESOLUTION NO. 178 -76
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVIT
ARKANSAS, TO EXECUTE A LICENSE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVITJ P;, ARKANSAS, TO THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD
COMPANY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there is a distinct need for the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas, to maintain a pipeline easement across certain
lands owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company; and
WHEREAS, the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company has agreed
to permit the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to maintain a
pipeline on its land; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Ark-
ansas, has approved the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville, Ark-
' ansas, to execute said pipeline license;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVIT,T,E', ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Jackson-
ville a pipeline license being designated by a plot attached
hereto showing the location of the approved pipeline license.
Section 2. This resolution being necessary for the preser-
vation of the public health, safety and welfare, an emergency is
declared to exist and this resolution shall be in full force
and effect after its passage.
