RESOLUTION NO. 168 -76
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DISCRETIONARY FUND APPLI-
CATION INDER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR
SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is desirous of
making application to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development for a Grant of funds available under
the Discretionary Fund Provisions of the Housing and
(immunity Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, upon review of community development needs,
the City Council has determined that sanitary seer imp
provements should be proposed in said application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO NCIL OF
THE CITY OF JAcKSONVIT ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to
submit in behalf of the City an Application for
a Discretionary Fund Grant under the Cuiauunity
Development Program.
2. That the amount of the Application shall be
$253,000 or such amount as the tepartment of
Housing and Urban Development shall determine the
City is eligible to receive during the pending
funding year.
3. That the funds received under the Discretionary
Fund Application authorized herein shall be used
for the making of sanitary sewer improvements in
two areas of the community not presently served
by such improvements.
4. That this resolution shall tkae effect imnediately.
