A RESOLUTION COMMITTING $28, 000.00 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
A JACKSONVILLE PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER BUILDING AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
I WHEREAS, preliminary plans have been prepared for the construc-
tion of a Jacksonville Public Health Center Building on City owned property
adjacent to Rebsamen Memorial Hospital, with cost estimates for said
facility being estimated by the project architect at $84, 000.00;
WHEREAS, the government of Pulaski County has agreed to contri-
bute the sum of $28, 000.00 toward the cost of said project and an application
is being submitted for Hill- Burton federal grant funds in the amount of
$28, 000.00;
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable for the City of Jacksonville
to contribute the remaining balance of $28, 000.00 for the completion of said
1 project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, that:
Section One. The sum of $28, 000.00 shall be contributed by the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas toward the construction of a Jacksonville
Public Health Center Building on City owned property adjacent to Rebsamen
Memorial Hospital.
Section Two. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval.
