RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL ACCEPTING PROPOSAL OF
MANE & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PREPARATION OF ADMINISRA-
TIVE PLANS AND BUDGETS FOR THE SECTION 8 EXISTING HOUSING
PROGRAM.
III WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville and its Housing Authority propose to
provide housing assistance payments for the benefit of low -and moderat-
income families of this community under leasing arrangements involving
exisiting housing in connection with the Section 8 Existing Housing
Program administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development;
and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Jacksonville has made
application for Federal financial assistance for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has
informed the Housing Authority that its development and submission
of its plan for Program•adninistration, budgets, and estimates of
annual contributions is a prerequisite to receipt of an Annual
III Contributions Contract for the provision of needed Federal funds;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to engage the firm of Manes &
Associates, Inc., Planning and Management Consultants, to assist the
Authority and the City in the preparation of necessary plans, forms and
documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed for this purpose a proposal,
dated August 29, 1 975, from Manes & Associates, Inc., a copy
of which is attached to this resolution in the official minutes of this
meeting, and has determined that the proposal with the accompanying proposed
contract is acceptable for the inteded purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
III JACKSONVILLE:
1. That the proposal of Manes & Associates, Inc., dated August 29,

1 975, a copy of which is attached hereto, is approved in all respects
and the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to accept said proposal in
behalf of the City of Jacksonville.
2. That the Housing Authority of the City of Jacksonville is hereby
encouraged to proceed exeditiously with the establishment of the Section
8 Existing Housing Program by undertaking the activities described in
the prposed contract between Manes & Associates, Inc. and to

Housing Authority which is attached to the proposal dated August 29, 1975.
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
