0152 RESOLUTION NO. 152 -75
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION TO PROCEED WITH
PLANS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOWER PARK, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, there is a distinct need to further develop Tower Park
by the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the City Parks and Recreation Commission has prepared
suitable plans for such development to be submitted to the Bureau of Outdoor
Recreation for fifty (50) per cent federal matching funds;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
has approved its own fifty (50) per cent contribution to such development
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The City Parks and Recreation Commission is hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with development plans for Tower Park, all
in the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, in cooperation with the Bureau of
Outdoor Recreation.
Section 2. This resolution being necessary for the preservation of
the public health, safety and welfare, an emergency is declared to exist and
this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately after its
passage. �� J
