A RESOLUTION APPROVING A WAGE SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES IN
THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENT:
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, in legal and regular session convened that the following wage
schedule for employees in the Fire and Police Departments of the City of
Jacksonville be adopted:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all new employees employed in the
Fire and Police Department be paid under Wage Schedule A, and that an
employee in the Fire and Police Department in category of Firefigl'ser or
Police Patrolman, after performing satisfactory service for a period of one
(4) year, and all other employees in the Fire and Police Departments shall
be advanced to Schedules B, C, D and E only upon the recommendation of the
Chief of their department and the approval of the City Council.
If for any reason a vacancy occurs in the Police or Fire Department,
any employee that qualifies by test or otherwise, shall then be promoted to

this position and shall be advanced, in the new position, one step on the pay
scale above his present salary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, the above wage scales and exceptions for employees of the Fire
and Police Department be approved.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
