0143 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 143 -74
A RESOUJTION AUTHORIZING THE JACKSONVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ALLOW CAPTAIN
EMMETT LEE TUCKER TO KEEP AS HIS SEPARATE PROPERTY THE .357 SERVICE REVOLVER
ISSUED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Captain Emmett Lee Tucker has served honorably and faithfully
the City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Police Department for sixteen
years; and
WHEREAS, Captain Ezmuett Lee Tucker is to retire from the service of the
Jacksonville Police Department effective January 1, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, has
approved the gift to Captain Emmett Lee Tucker of his service revolver;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACK-
SONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The City of Jacksonville Police Department is hereby authorized
and directed to proceed in giving Captain Emmett Lee Tucker his .357 service
revolver in honor and appreciation for the sixteen years of faithful and
meritorious service which he has provided said Police Department.
SECTION 2. This resolution being necessary for the preservation of the
public health, safety and welfare, an emergency is directed to exist and this
resolution shall be in full force and effect emmediately after its passage.
