0130 RESOLUTION NO. 1 3 0- 7 2 1 A RESOLUTION APPROVING.A WAGE SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENT: BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, in legal and regular session convened that the following wage schedule for employees in the Fire and Police Departments of the City of Jacksonville be adopted: FIRE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY PAY SCALE (A) (8) (C) (D) (E) (F) (G) (H) • (I) Fire Chief $550 $575 $600 $625 $650 $675 $700 $725 $750 Fire Chief (Ass't) 520 535 550 565 580 595 610 625 640 Fire Captain 490 505 520 535 550 565 580 595 610 Fire Lieutenant 460 475 490 505 520 535 550 565 580 Firefighter Driver 430 445 460 475 490 505 520 535 550 Firefighter 400 415 430 445 460 475 490 505 520 POLICE DEPARTMENT MONTHLY PAY SCALE Police Chief $550 $5 $600 $6 $830 $ (F) (G) (H) (I) 675 $700 $725 $750 Police Captain 490 505 520 535 550 565 580 595 610 Police Lieutenant 460 475 490 505 520 535 550 565 580 Police Sergeant 430 445 460. 475 490 505 520 535 550 Police Patrolman 400 415 430 445 460 475 490 505 520 Stenographer- Matron 300 315 330 345 360 375 390 405 420 Radio Operator 300 315 330 345 360 375 390 405 420 WHEREAS, it is the consensus of opinion that a new employee be employed in the Fire and Police Department under Wage Schedule A, and an employee in the Fire and Police Department in category of Firefighter or Police Patrolman, after performing satisfactory service for a period of one (1) year, and all other employees in the Fire and Police Departments shall be advanced to Schedules B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I only upon the recommendation of the Chief of their department, said recommendation of Chief shall be submitted to the City Council for its approval or disapproval. If for any reason a vacancy occurs in the Police or Fire Department, any employee hat qualifies by test or otherwise, shall then be promoted to this position. He shall be advanced, in his new position, one step on the pay scale above his present salary. WHEREAS, each employee in the above named departments must wear uniforms, the City of Jacksonville will pay $50 a month for the purchase, cleaning, etc. of such uniforms. WHEREAS, it cost a new employee in the Fire and Police Departments approximately $300.00 to purchase uniforms, etc. The City of Jacksonville will advance six (6) months uniform allowance, with a signed statement that should for any reason, employment be terminated within the six (6) months period, that all uniforms, guns, belts, etc., or any other equipment purchased with the $300.00 will be returned to the City of Jacksonville Fire or Police Dept. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the above wage scales and exceptions for employees of the Fire and Police Department be approved. THIS RESOLUTION shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and Approval. PASSED this 14th day of December 1972. APPROVED: A hn H.
