RESOLUTION NO. 1 2 6 - 72
A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PETITION
TO CLOSE AND VACATE A PORTION OF CLYDE STREET, COMMENCING AT THE EAST
BQJNDARY OF LOT 53, HICKMAN & McCONNELL SUBDIVISION TO THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS AND RUNNING EASTWARD TO SOUTH EASTERN AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the owners of all lands adjoining that portion of Clyde
Street as described in the caption hereof have this date filed a petition
for closing and abandoning said portion of Clyde Street;
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing must be given before any action
can be taken on said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That
Section 1. A public hearing on the petition to close and abandon
that portion of Clyde Street which commences at the East boundary of
Lot 53 Hickman & McConnell Addition to the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
and runs Eastward to South Eastern Avenue is hereby set for Thursday,
November 2, 1972 at 7:00 p.m.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to give public notice of
said hearing as required by law.
Section 3. This resolution is necessary for the preservation of the
public health, safety and welfare and an emergency is hereby declared to
exist.
