0688 RESOLUTION NO. 688 (#14 - 2012)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF FIXED ASSETS
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES IN COMPLIANCE WITH ACA if 14-59-
107;AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,the Finance Department of the City of Jacksonville has created a Fixed
Assets Policies and Procedures to assist all City Departments in managing valuable
personal property assets consistently owned by the City. Arkansas law(ACA§14-59-107)
mandates adoption of such policies and procedures, and the practices which have been
followed for many years are now documented to insure equitable application throughout
all City Departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OFJACKSONVILLE,ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: There is hereby adopted the City's Fixed Assets Policies and
Procedures as specified and stated on the attached, marked and identified as Attachment
A, for implementation and compliance from this point forward. It is hereby directed to be
distributed to all City Departments to insure all applicable Department Heads and
employees are knowledgeable of these requirements.
SECTION TWO: This Resolution shall take effect from and after passage.
