A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE AND GENERAL
MANAGER OF JACKSONVILLE WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT TO
EXECUTE CERTAIN DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE
REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE
ARKANSAS NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville owns and operates a wastewater system (System) in
order to provide wastewater service to meet the needs of the citizens of the City. Said System is
in need of improvement and expansion; and
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Wastewater Commission has recommended and the City
Council agrees that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Jacksonville for Jacksonville
Wastewater to apply for and utilize loan assistances from the Arkansas Natural Resources
Commission (ANRC) under the Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund Program (Program) in order
to make certain expansions and improvements to the System.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor of the City and City Clerk, as Signatory Agents, are hereby
authorized and directed to complete and execute, when duly approved by this City Council, relevant
instruments issued or made pursuant thereto on behalf of the City.
SECTION TWO: The General Manager of Jacksonville Wastewater is hereby
authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the Department, all other documents and certificates
required for participation in the Program.
SECTION THREE: Any Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent
of said conflict.
