A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF SALE DOCUMENTS FROM THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED
HEREIN (GENERAL LOCATION - LOTS 34, 52, 56, 132, 155, 189,
355 OF THE SUNNYSIDE SUBDIVISON); AND, FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the real property described on the attached Exhibit A is property
owned by the City of Jacksonville; and,
WHEREAS, because said property has received an acceptable Offer &
Acceptance, and the Purchaser intends to improve the property, it is in the City's best
interests to sell said property. As a result, certain City officials must be authorized to
develop and execute the appropriate and required documents for the purchase of
City -owned property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, are hereby authorized to execute any and all purchase
documents for the real property described in Exhibit A for Five Thousand Two
Hundred Fifty Dollars ($5,250) to Central Arkansas Home Builders, LLC. The City
Council recognizes and agrees that doing so will, hopefully, benefit both Central
Arkansas Home Builders, LLC and the City.
The Council hereby authorizes Mayor Elmore, City Clerk Davitt, and City
Attorney Friedman to execute and complete the appropriate documents required to
approve the purchase and sale of the property more particularly described in Exhibit
A between the City and Central Arkansas Home Builders, LLC.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be
in effect from and after its date of passage.
