RESOLUTION NO. 110 -69 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH THE OPENING OF SOUTH JAMES STREET ACROSS THE MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD'S TRACK AND RIGHT -OF -WAY, IN WHICH THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE HAS REQUESTED RAILROAD TO FURNISH AND INSTALL PLANK AND ASPHALT CROSSING, CROSSBUCK SIGNS AND WHISTLE POSTS AT THE PROPOSED CROSSING IN JACK - SONVILLE, PULASKI COUNTY, ARENAS, AND CITY OF JACKSONVILLE HAS FURTHER OFFERED TO REIMBURSE RAILROAD FOR THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREGOING. WHEREAS, The City of Jacksonville, in connection onvth the opening of South James Street, across the Missouri Pacific Railroad's track and right of way, and has requested said Railroad to furnish and install plank and asphalt crossing, cross buck signs and whistle posts at the proposed crossing in Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and said City has further offered to reimburse said Railroad for the expense of the foregoing. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, does hereby authorize the Mayor of said City to execute an agreement with said Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, in connection with the opening of South James Street across Railroad's track and right of way; and that the said City Council does further authorize the City Clerk of City of Jacksonville, to affix her signature and the seal of the said City thereto upon the said agreement. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, on the 6th day of November, 1969.
