A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE JACKSONVILLE ZONING CODE
AND MAP AND RECOMMENDING ITS ADOPTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Planning Commission has
given considerable study toward the future development and
growth of the City of Jacksonville; and
WHEREAS, the said Planning Commission has approved
an Ordinance providing for the zoning and development of the
City of Jacksonville; and has had a public hearing thereon
pursuant to Arkansas Statutes after public notice properly
held thereon; and has made such amendments to the Ordinance
and original map as was deemed proper to conform to the
best development of the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE JACKSONVILLE
PLANNING COMMISSION: THAT
SECTION 1. That the Jacksonville Planning Commission does
hereby approve and recommend the adoption by the City Council
of the Zoning Map and Ordinance entitled:
"An Ordinance regulating the location, height, number of
stories, bulk, and size of buildings and other structures,
the sizes of yards and other open spaces; lot coverage, density
and distribution of population; off- street parking and loading
facilities; and the uses of buildings, structures, and land
for business, industry, residence, and other purposes in the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and for said purposes to
divide the City of Jacksonville into districts, of compatible
uses, for large scale unified development, for elimination of
uses not in conformance with provisions of this Ordinance, and
for such other matters as are necessary to the health, safety,
and general welfare of the City of Jacksonville; and for said
purposes to divide the City of Jacksonville into districts of
such number, shape-and areas as may be deemed best suited to
carry out these regulations; to prescribed penalties for the
violation of its provisions; and to prescribed for its enforce-
ment.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and'afi,ter its adoption.
