A RESOLUTION OF ASSURANCE TO THE COMMISSION
ON CRIME AND LAW ENFORCEMENT OF THE STATE OF
ARKANSAS OF THE INTEREST AND DESIRE OF TEE
CITY OF JACFSONVIIL; TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
COMPREHENSIVE STATE WIDE LAW ENFORCEMENT
PLAN FOR ARKANSAS AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER THE
FEDERAL OMNIBMS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS
ACT OF 1968;' AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The City of Jacksonville by this Resolution
does assure the Commission on Crime and Law Enforcement of the State
of Arkansas of its interest to participate in the comprehensive state
wide law enforcement plan now under consideration by the said Commission
all as provided for by the Federal Omnibus Crime Control and Safe
Streets Act of 1968.
SECTION 2. The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, is hereby designated to act for and on behalf
of the City of Jacksonville in providing the State Commission on Crime
and Law Enforcement with whatever materials, statistics or planning
information desired and needed to accomplish the goals and purposes
provided for by said Federal Legislation.
SECTION 3. A copy of this Resolution duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be delivered to the proper officials of the Commission
on Crime and Law Enforcement of the State of Arkansas.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
