0074 RESOLUTION NO. 79'-
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING THE COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JACKSONVTT,TE, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of
Pulaski County has conducted comprehensive surveys and studies
showing present land use, together with transportation needs,
community felicity needs, sewer, water and storm drainage needs,
and recommendations on how all these elemets fit together to make
a comprehensive program for orderly growth in the Pulaski County
Metropolitan Area including the City of Jacksonville, and has
prepared a plan for such facilities over the next twenty years; and
WHEREAS, the analysis, findings and recommendations of the
said surveys and studies have been incorporated into a report en-
titled, "Comprehensive Development Plan," said report having been
submitted to the Jacksonville Planning Commission for its review; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission of
Pulaski County has officially approved and adopted said report; and
WHEREAS, The Jacksonville Planning Commission has reviewed,
considered, approved and adopted the said Comprehensive Development
Plan as a guide for reference and use in its consideration of local
planning toward orderely growth and development of Jacksonville,
Arkansas; and has recommended by resolution that the City Council
accept and approve said plan as a guide for orderly planning,
growth and development of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. That the Comprehensive Development Plan
as approved and adopted by the Jacksonville Planning Commission,
be and it is hereby accepted and approved by the City Council of
Jacksonville, Arkansas as a guide toward orderly planning,
growth and development of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
