A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY
OF ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF SHERWOOD, ARKANSAS, FOR THE DUMPING OF GARBAGE AND /OR
TRASH FROM THE CITY OF SHERWOOD IN THE PUBLIC DUMPING GROUNDS
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND SETTING A CHARGE FOR SUCH DUMPING.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas maintains a
public dumping ground which is large enough to accommodate all of
the garbage and /or trash from the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas
together with garbage and /or trash from other sources; and
WHEREAS, the area where the City of Sherwood, Arkansas has
been previously been dumping garbage and trash is no longer avail-
able for use by the said City of Sherwood; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sherwood, Arkansas, has requested dumping
privileges with the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, be and they are hereby authorized to enter
into a twelve month agreement with the City of Sherwood, Arkansas
for the purpose of extending to the City of Sherwood, Arkansas the
privilege of dumping all garbage and /or trash collected within the
city limits of Sherwood, Arkansas, at the dumping grounds of
Jacksonville, Arkansas at the following prescribed rates:
A. The minimum charge per month for all garbage and /or trash
dumped upon said dumping grounds up to a maximum of twenty (20)
one -and- one -half ton truck loads shall be Twenty ($20.00) Dollars.
B. An additional charge at the rate of One ($1.00) Dollar
per load shall be made upon each and all loads in excess of twenty
(20) :loads.
SECTION 2. That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, by duly
employed and authorized agent shall bill the City of Sherwood,
Arkansas, semi - annually for such privilege.
