RESOLUTION 68-63
A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF GIVING AUTHORITY FOR THE SALE
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of all citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, that certain city property be sold; and
WHEREAS, a purchaser has offered to buy the said property for the
sum of $450.00; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk of said city be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute a Quit Claim Deed
transferring to Big Rock Stone and Material Company for the consideration
of Four Hundred Fifty and No /100 ($450.00) Dollars all the City's
interest in and to the following described real property:
Part of Section Twenty -Five (25), Township Three (3)
North, Range Eleven (11) West of the Fifth (5th)
Principal Meridian, and being more particularly
described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron stake set for the northeast corner
of this tract, and on the west line of the Arkansas
Highway Department tract, located north 880 25' west
1,356.1 feet and south 1° 57' west 1,089.9 feet from the
northeast corner of Section 25 T -3N, R -11 W, 5th P. N.:
THENCE north 88° 03' west 125.0 feet to a point;
THENCE south 1 57' west 270.7 feet to a point in the south
line of the.former Maintenance Area;
THENCE south 88 03' east 125 feet along the south line of the
former Maintenance Area to an iron stake marking the southeast
corner of this tract and the southwest corner of the Arkansas
Highway Department tract;
THENCE north 1° 57' east 270.7 feet along the east side of this
tract common to a part of the west line of the said Highway
Department tract and the point of beginning, containing 0.77
• ' of an acre, more or less, and being a part of the land conveyed
to the United States of America by Administratrix's Deed dated
July 7, 1954, from Lura Cox, Administratrix of the estate of
John Cox, Sr., deceased, recorded in Volume 5115, page 103,
Deed Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas. This tract is SUBJECT
TO any existing easements for public roads and drainage ditches,
and rights -of -way for utilities and pipe lines.
SECTION 2. That this Resolution being to the best interest of the
citizens of Jacksonville and necessary for their welfare, shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage.
