MINUTES: BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING
DATE AND TIME: April 12, 2021 6:02 p.m. – 6:04 p.m.
ATTENDANCE: Commissioners: Montgomery, Hall, and Chairman Brown were present.

City Clerk Susan Davitt recorded those listed above in attendance and Chairman Brown declared a quorum. City of Jacksonville Engineering Tech Mylissa Griggs and City Attorney Friedman
were present by Zoom.
APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
VARIANCE(S): Maximum Square Footage Variance 1701 Hunter Chase
Chairman Brown opened the public hearing at approximately 6:02 p.m.
Petitioner Daniel Gray related he is proposing to construct a detached garage in addition to the home he is currently building at 1701 Hunter Chase in the Foxwood Estates Subdivision.
He then explained the garage would be approximately 25’ X 30’, equaling 750 square feet, which is 100 square feet over the maximum allowable. He related it would be constructed with
the same exterior material as the home and it meets all requirements of the Bill of Assurance of the Foxwood Estates Subdivision.
Engineering Tech Mylissa Griggs stated there were no objections from the City, pointing out that the lots in the Foxwood Estates Subdivision are extremely large, approximately 3.5 acres
to over 5 acres.
Chairman Brown closed the public hearing at approximately 6:03 p.m.
Commissioner Montgomery moved, seconded by Commissioner Hall to approve the variance for a 750 square foot accessory building at 1701 Hunter Chase as requested. MOTION CARRIED.
ADJOURNMENT:
Without objection, Chairman Brown adjourned the meeting at approximately 6:04 p.m. MOTION CARRIED.
