0815RESOLUTION NO. 815 (#14 - 2021) A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR BAYOU METO BRIDGE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BUILDING RESILIENT INFASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNITIES (BRIC) GRANT FUNDS TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is applying for funds through the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIO) Grant Program for Bayou Meto Bridge Improvements; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain conditions be met as part of the application requirements; and WHEREAS, as a result of the BRIC Planning activities; the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas has identified and prioritized the hazard mitigation need. M' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: SECTION ONE: The Mayor of the City of Jacksonville is hereby authorized, on behalf of Jacksonville City Council to submit an application to the State of Arkansas for grant funds, under the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Grant Program through Arkansas Division of Emergency Management, and to expend funds to accomplish such community development disaster mitigation projects, if the grant is awarded.
