VARIANCE REQUEST(S): Maximum Square Footage Variance and a rear/side yard variance for an accessory building at 3213 T.P. White Drive Petitioner: Mr. Donnie Farmer ADJOURNMENT MINUTES: BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING DATE AND TIME: June 9, 2003 6:30 p.m. – 6:35 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Commissioners: Susan Dollar, Martha Boyd, Glen Keaton, and Chairman Perry City Representative, City Engineer Whisker _________________________________________________________________ City Clerk Susan Davitt recorded those listed above in attendance and Chairman Perry declared a quorum. APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES: Commissioner Dollar moved, second by Commissioner Boyd to approve the minutes of the Regularly Scheduled Board of Adjustment meeting of May 12, 2003. MOTION CARRIED. VARIANCE(S): Maximum Square Footage and Side/Rear Yard Setback Variances/3213 T.P. White Drive Chairman Perry opened the public hearing at approximately 6:31 p.m. Petitioner Mr. Donnie Farmer of 3213 T.P. White Drive related that he would like to extend an existing detached garage by six feet, noting that would bring the building five feet from the side property line. Mr. Lloyd Friedman of 3109 T.P. White Drive, adjacent property owner, addressed the Board saying that he owns the property on both side of Mr. Farmer’s property and that he has no objection to the request. In response to a question from Commissioner Keaton, Mr. Farmer stated that the garage was already on the property when the home was purchased. In response to a question posed by Commissioner Boyd, Mr. Farmer related that the accessory building would be approximately 1600 square feet and be located approximately five feet from the adjacent property line. Mr. Friedman offered that many of the lots are described with a metes and bounds, not lots and blocks, offering more acreage. Chairman Perry noted that he had visited the property and noted ample room for expansion. It was related that the structure would be in conformance with the existing home. Chairman Perry closed the public hearing at approximately 6:33 p.m. Commissioner Keaton moved, seconded by Commissioner Boyd to grant a 5’ side yard variance and maximum square footage variance for an accessory building at 3213 T.P. White Drive. MOTION CARRIED. BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT REGULAR MEETING continued: June 09, 2003 ADJOURNMENT: Chairman Perry adjourned the meeting at approximately 6:35 p.m. MOTION CARRIED.
