97 NOV 26MINUTES: BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT DATE AND TIME: November 26, 1997 4:00 p.m. 4:04 p.m. ATTENDANCE: Chairman Art Brannen Commissioners: Ken Nabors, B.J. Boroughs, and John Hardwick PETITIONERS: 1401 Jeff Davis/Shawn O'Dell Variance requested: Side Yard Variance (Chapter 18.68.020 Jax. Mun. Code) __________________________________________________________________ Deputy City Clerk Susan L. Davitt recorded those listed above in attendance and Acting Chairman Perry declared a quorum. APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES: Commissioner Nabors moved, seconded by Commissioner Hardwick that the minutes of the Board of Adjustment Meeting of October 22, 1997 be APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED. VARIANCE REQUEST: 1401 Jeff Davis/Side Yard Variance (Ch. 18.68.020 Jax. Mun. Code) Chairman Brannen called the meeting to order and reviewed the item of business. City Engineer Reel related that the petitioner desired to build a residence with a side load garage. He said that the petitioner would need to build five feet of the south property line in order to have the necessary room for access. He related that the property is five feet within the undeveloped portion of Bertha Street and pointed out the location of drainage and sewer easements along that area. He said that the property owner is working on drainage improvements with regard to the proposed residence. It was noted that the proposed residence would front Jeff Davis. Commissioner Hardwick moved, seconded by Commissioner Nabors to approve the request of a five-foot side yard variance at 1401 Jeff Davis. MOTION CARRIED.
