A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING AND SUPPORTING COACH LARRY
BURROWS AND THE 2021 JACKSONVILLE CHEVY BOYS BASEBALL TEAM OF
THE GWATNEY CHEVROLET AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL PROGRAM; AND,
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Coach Larry Burrows, along with Assistant Coach Daniel Gray, utilized the
Baseball Program to implement genuine character and integrity and forever impact the lives of
young Jacksonville residents by recently leading the Chevy Boys Baseball Team to the 2021
American Legion Baseball Championships.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: Coach Burrows is to be applauded for his hard work, dedication,
and efforts to implement athleticism, character, and skills to this Championship Team. As a
result, Coach Larry Burrows, along with Assistant Coach Daniel Gray, led these young men
to the 2021 American Legion Baseball Championship.
SECTION TWO: The Jacksonville City Council encourages other area educators to
model Burrow's winning baseball program and apply the same dedication, efforts, and
commitment to their educational pursuits in the training and development of all champion
students in the City of Jacksonville. Doing so can and will provide champion students
winning character and integrity, leading them throughout and beyond their educational years
into their adult lives.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in effect from and after its date of
passage.
