RESOLUTION 57 -61 II `gym' Honorable John Harden • Mayor, City of Jacksonville Jacksonville, Arkansas • Dear Mayor Harden: - • In compliance with your request to representatives of the Arkansas Power & Company with respect to certain additions in the 'street lighting facilities in the City of Jacksonville, it is agreed that: • (1) The Company will install, own and operate at its expense six 21000 lumen mercury vapor luminaires, burning all night, mounted on steel poles and served by underground circuit of 900 feet. (2) After the installation of the new white way system by the Company as specified in paragraph (1) above, the total street lighting system owned and operated by the Company, available to the City of Jacksonville for the lighting of its streets and alleys and for which the Company shall furnish electric service, is describes} as follows: 224 - 100 watt multiple street lights, burning all night, to be billed on Rate Schedule #20 29 - 300 watt incandescent luminaires, burning all night, mounted on wood poles, to be billed on Rate Schedule #20 -A 5 - 500 watt incandescent luminaires, burning all night,, - mounted on wood poles, to be bille on Rate Schedule #20 -A 4 - 500 watt incandescent luminaires, burning all night, mounted on steel poles, to be billed on Rate Schedule #20 -A 6 -21000 lumen mercury vapor luminaires, burning all night, mounted on steel poles and served by underground circuit of 900 feet, to be billed on Rate Schedule #20 -A (3) The Company will supply and the City of Jacksonville will take and pay for all electric service required by City for the lighting and operation of facilities specifically mentioned in (2) above in accordance with all the terms and conditions of Rate Schedules #20 and #20 -A attached hereto • and made a part hereof, or in accordance with such "other .. applicable Rate Schedule. In order that no misunderstanding may be had relative to the Maintenance Clause under said Rate Schedules, it is under- stood that the Comparij will 'furnish at its expense the • necessary labor for the installation of the outer globes and poles which the City agrees to pay for on account of breakage. . • The term of this agreement shall be from April 1, 1961, to April 1, 1971 or from date service is first made available hereunder, which ever is earlier, and shall be automatically . extended for successive - periods of one year each until terminated by written notice given by one party to the other, not more than six months nor.less than three months prior to the expiration of the original term or any anniversary thereof. If the above written proposal meets with your understanding of this matter, please have this letter accepted by resolution of the Counci and accepted and endorsed by you as Mayor and by the City Clerk in the space provided below.
