A Resolution submitting to the el'eotors of the City
at a Special Election the question of obtaining the sense of
the electors as to the ...location of a site for a City Hall.
:-WN EAS the •City Council has called a Special Election
on the questions of issuing bonds for the purpose of acquiring
a site for constructing and equipping - -a City, Hall; and
WHEREAS the Council has under conbideration two sites
for the proposed City Hall; and
WHEREAS the Council has determined, that since an election
is being held it would be desirable to ascertain the sense of the
electors as to.thelocation of the site;
NOW WORE BE rg RESOLVED by tae City Council of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section 1. That at the Special Election to be held
on day of ,, _ , 19$9, there shall be
submitted to'ths eleot'ora of the City the question of obtaining
the sense:of the electors as to the location of a site for the
City Hall in the event the ismuence of bonda t'or camels approved,
and said question shall be placed, an the ballot for the Special
Election in substantially the form;
In the event the electors approve pile issuance of
general obligation bonds for the purpose of acquiring a site
and.constructing a City Hall, it will be necessary for the.Council
to select the site. At the present time theCounc3l has under
consideration a site located at 109 South Second Street, Jacksonville,
Arkansan (which.wili be referred to below as , the Second Street Site)
.and a site located between,North Main Street and South Main Street
between Tenth and Eleventh Streets, Jacksonville, Arkansan (which
will be hereinafter referred:to as the Main Street Site). In
voting his preferenoe<`eaoh elector is'advised that the vote upon
the site will constitute a recommendation only to the Council and
will not be binding upon the Council in the avent for arty reason
